올해에는 총 9개 팀이 참여하며 강릉단오제 첫째 날인 6월 15일에는 퍼포먼스 두우레난타, 하슬라아코디언, 강릉파인무용단, 바리에앙상블의 무대가 펼쳐진다. 단오의 생동감을 음악과 몸짓으로 풀어내며 관객과 호흡하는 무대로 천년의 축제 강릉단오제를 풍성하게 즐겨보자.

Haslla Rhapsody: A Modern Symphony of Tradition and Identity
Named after "Haslla," the ancient name of Gangneung, this comprehensive performing arts stage offers a profound reinterpretation of the region’s history and identity through a contemporary lens.

The performance is presented in a "rhapsody" style, a dynamic format that breaks conventional boundaries by blending music, dance, traditional Korean Gugak, and modern performance art. This creative fusion brings a fresh, artistic vitality to the festival, showcasing a side of Gangneung’s cultural heritage that is both deeply rooted and strikingly modern.

The Opening Stage: June 15
A total of nine teams will participate in this year’s showcase. On June 15, the opening day of the Gangneung Danoje Festival, four premier groups will take the stage to ignite the festivities:

The Gangneung Resident Autonomy Hanmadang held at the Gangneung Danoje Festival is a celebration created for and by the citizens. It brings together a diverse array of performances prepared by community centers across the various towns, townships, and neighborhoods (Eup, Myeon, and Dong) of Gangneung City all in one place.

Serving as a platform to share the fruits of cultural activities that residents have learned and enjoyed in their daily lives, the event spans a wide range of genres, from the powerful rhythms of Nanta and Pungmul to modern dance and traditional performances. 유네스코 인류무형문화유산・국가무형유산인 ‘강릉단오제’ 기간에 연희되던 탈놀이이다. 조선시대 관청에 속했던 노비인 관노들이 하던 가면극으로 신분적 제약 속에서도 해학과 풍자를 통해 이야기를 전했다. 국내 유일의 무언 전통 가면극으로 대사 없이 춤과 몸짓으로만 표현된다.

주요 등장인물은 양반광대, 소매각시, 시시딱딱이 2명, 장자마리 2명이며, 가면극을 이끌어가는 악사들이 등장한다. 전체 5과장으로 이루어지는데 첫째 마당은 장자마리가 등장해 공연의 흥을 돋우고 둘째 마당은 양반광대와 소매각시의 사랑 놀음, 셋째 마당은 시시딱딱이가 이 둘을 훼방 놓고, 넷째 마당은 소매각시의 자살소동으로 한바탕 소동이 일어난다. 끝으로 다섯째 마당은 양반광대와 소매각시의 화해 마당으로 이때 등장인물 모두와 관객까지 함께 어우러져 한바탕 춤을 추고 화합하며 마무리된다.

[단오클라쓰]는 미래 단오의 주역인 지역 청소년들을 위한 무대이다.

지역 예체능학원에서 수강 중인 청소년들에게 악기 연주회나 발표회 무대를 제공하는 것을 골자로 한 행사로 공연 형식은 음악, 무용을 포함해 별도 제한이 없다 .지역의 청소년들이 단오클라쓰 무대에 오른 경험이 이후 강릉시민으로서 강릉단오제의 정체성을 깨닫고 자긍심을 느끼게 할 것이라는 단오 DNA 확인 프로젝트라 할 수 있다.

6월 15일에는 강릉솔향청소년국악예술단, 댄스플러스, 춤무본, SPT타이거태권도&국가대표 타이거 태권스쿨의 신명나고 박진감 넘치는 무대가 펼쳐진다.

Dano Class is a stage dedicated to local youth, the future leaders of the Dano Festival.

The event focuses on providing a platform for recitals and showcases to youth currently attending local arts, music, and sports academies. There are no restrictions on the performance format, embracing various genres including music and dance. This initiative serves as a "Dano DNA Awakening Project," rooted in the belief that the experience of performing on the Dano Class stage will inspire local youth to embrace the identity of the Gangneung Danoje Festival and foster deep-rooted pride as citizens of Gangneung.

On June 15, an exciting and dynamic lineup of performances will be presented by the Gangneung Solhyang Youth Traditional Korean Music Arts Troupe, Dance Plus, Choom Mubon, and SPT Tiger Taekwondo & National Representative Tiger Taekwondo School.
